| Very good alien invasion series, which is very
definitely one that can be labelled 'Post X-Files'. The Everglades provides the backdrop to a sinister yet subtle alien takeover of a local population. The assumption is that this is the prelude to a worldwide invasion, though this is never emphatically confirmed, and it is this air of mystery and enigma that is the shows great strength. The location work is also a fine attribute, as it is an unusual location for a mainstream show, adding a real sense of menace, particularly during the night time scenes. Crucially as well, it's all pretty creepy. On top of all that, the characterisation is strong, the acting good, and the plot intriguing. It's a genuine mystery why this wasn't picked up for a second series. Recommended viewing. |

lights can be seen at its heart. As the hurricane abates, strange skeletal remains are discovered. |

| Lights Out | An Air Force officer is discovered, wearing only
a wet suit, barely alive. All parties seem interested in the officer, though no-one can quite explain what he is doing there, nor what the strange growth is sticking out of his wounds. Sherriff Underlay wants the town quarantined. |

at the least being aware of, a militarey cover up. Mariel's behaviour becomes increasingly strange. |
