| Rob Brydon, a comedy character actor I am really
starting to warm to, plays himself in this witty, at times savage attack
on the mysterious world of TV Panel shows. His unrelenting misery at the
indignity of being compelled to present one is a constant joy, as are his
disparaging remarks behind the backs of his guests, which of course are
very far removed from his sycophantic witterings when in their presence.
Very modern,, very sarcastic, and an absolute delight that shouldn't be hidden away on BBC3 for too much longer. |

| Episode 1 | Rob is appalled at having Gail Porter as a guest as he doesn't
want someone on the show with less hair than him. He's not too worried about
how her cancer recovery is going, though. The shows producer tries to justify the poor format by explaining it is to cater to the demographic. Thing is, he doesn't know what the word demographic means. Jonathan Ross promises to wear a Nazi uniform on the show: Rob is appalled. Richard Bacon promotes the Foreman grill set, so Rob storms off set in disgust. |
|
| Episode 2 | Impressionist Alastair McGowan threatens Rob with
his array of voices. The producer wants Rob to go to a tittie bar with John Inverdale. "For a bonus point, can anybody tell me: Why does anyone watch Eastenders?" Rob angers David Walliams so much he refuses to appear on the show. |
|
| Episode 3 | Rob finally achieves a dream by winning an award:
back at his old school. Russell Brand guests: "Smack addict." "Six inches pleases The Queen." Marcus Brigstocke outs himself as a paedophile. |
|
| Episode 4 | Ronni Ancona refuses to do her impressions. Rob invites a TV critic on to the panel to try to ensure a good review. Rob resorts to bribery for the good write-up. |

| Episode 5 | Rob hankers after a Hollywood movie role to compete
with Omid Djalili. Rob forces the guest booker to get on all fours. (You can't blame him, to be fair). The Venn Diagram round really starts to piss Dave Gorman off. |
|
| Episode 6 | Tricia angers Rob by her presence. Giles Brandreth bores all in his path into painful tears. Rob embarrasses himself by begging the guest booker to marry him. |
