| Bombastic US Power metal is what we have here.
Spiky and abrasive, the guitars have dashes of thrash sprinkled into the joy-filled lead lines, and the tunes are just the right side of catchy. The stand out performer here is the vocalist / guitarist Rob Thorne, performing both duties admirably, though his screecing falsetto can take some getting used to, despite the fact that it fits perfectly with the musical style. If prime, heads down, chunky power metal is your bag, this should well and truly float your boat. |
